Sawa Senzaki and Laura DeBroux, seniors, received a Psi Chi regional award for their cross-cultural research on altruism, A Cross-Cultural Comparison of Altruism and Competitiveness in Brazil and the United States with Daniela Navaes, University of Ruy Barbosa and Diogo Cavalcant5i, Federal Unitersity of Bahia.
Shawn A.Cassiman received her Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is serving as an assistant professor of Social Work at the University of Dayton.
Jamie Wiesner Nord is working as a school psychologist in Lindstrom,
MN. She is working for the St. Croix River Education District (SCRED) at Chisago
Lake High School and the Family Center (working with Early Childhood Special
Education Program).
Elissa Reas entered the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs in the fall
2007.
April VanAbel is working as a residential counselor at the Challenge Center in Superior and as a legal assistant at the Hanft Fride Law Firm while she decides on graduate programs to apply to.

Ben Hatfield has been accepted into the M.S.W. program at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Travis Simmons has been accepted into the MA program in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis on subsance abuse treatment, at University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
Shawn Cassiman has been accepted into the Doctor of Social Work program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Sandy Croke has been accepted into the Applied Psychology program at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
April Fritch has been accepted into the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at Idaho State University.
Sherry Neibauer has been accepted into the School Psychology program at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Gwen Sheldon has been accepted into the Masters of Social Work program at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Matt Wickstrom is pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Psychology (with an emphasis on Industrial/Organizational) at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Christa Bjork has been leading art therapy activities at the Courage Center and has also worked with Outcomes, Inc., an organization that specializes in working with autistic children.
Jennifer Gunderson was accepted into the doctoral program at the University of Toledo, where she is working on her doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

Angela Buck is working on her Master's Degree in Educational Professional Development at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in preparation for becoming a
high school teacher. Erica Card received a Broad Area Social Studies degree from UW-S and is currently teaching seventh and eighth grade science in New Berlin, WI.
Ty Johnson works as a Youth Treatment Specialist at Woodland Hills Adolescent Treatment Center in Duluth, MN.
Jessie Lundquist was accepted into the doctoral program at the University of Wyoming, where she is working on her master's degree in Clinical Psychology.
Angel Miller is working on her master's degree in Student Life and Development at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Terri Olsen is a graduate student in School Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Nilusha Rajakaruna is a consultant with the United Nations in her native Sri Lanka. She trains staff members who work with child soldiers and provides family support to make sure that the children can be reintegrated with their families. She also trains staff to work with child sex workers.
Angela Suihkonen is currently a graduate student in the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program at University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Karen Weiss began work in the Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County in the fall of 2002.
Trevor Conrad was accepted into the graduate program at Northern Illinois University and is working on his master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Kathleen Irwin has completed her coursework for her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Argosy University in Washington, D.C. and this fall began her internship as the child, adolescent, and family specialist at the Community Reach Center in Denver. CO.
Amberyl Malkovich will be receiving her M.A. in Literature from the University of Minnesota-Mankota this summer, and has been accepted into the doctoral program in Literature at Illinois State University-Normal.
Adam Soderlind was accepted into the graduate program at the University of Minnesota-Mankota, where he is currently working on his M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Lori Morphey received her M. A. in School Psychology from Miami University in 2000 and is currently working as a School Psychologist in Ohio.
Brenda Smischney completed her M. A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the University of Tennesee at Chattanooga and now works in the field in San Diego, CA.
Kristin Ericson Foster received her M. A. in Child Development from Northern Illinois University and has worked with teen parents in a child-abuse prevention program.
Karen Hmielewski received her M. A. in School Psychology from UW-S in 1998 and now works as a School Psychologist in Staples, MN.
Jennifer Wilson Diez (1994) received her M.A. in Counseling from Ball State University (1997) in Muncie, IN. She currently works at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ as a Mental Health Clinician, conducting campus counseling and educational activities for the Oasis Center for Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence.
Sharri Evered (Hurin) (1992) received her M. A. in Social Psychology from the Claremont Graduate School (1997) and is currently pursuing her doctorate. She works as an evaluation specialist at Professional Data Analysts, Inc. in Minneapolis, MN.
Deb Rusch (1992) works as a Mental Health Coordinator in Bayfield, WI.
Roseann (Bonavia) Tremain (1990) graduated with a M.S. in Guidance and Counseling from UW-Whitewater in 2000 and currently does group work with the mentally ill at the Rock County Psychiatric Hospital.
