PRESENT: Hal Bertilson, Glenn Carlson, David Carroll, Tim Cummings, Martha Einerson, Matt Faerber, Susan Loonsk, Peter Nordgren, Chuck Reichert, Joel Sipress, Nick Sloboda, Cecilia Schrenker, Gloria Toivola, Greg Moore, Brad Amys, and Alexis Stangl.
ABSENT: Orvin Clark, Randy Gabrys-Alexson, James Holter,
Undergraduate Academic Affairs Council--Minutes of the 9-30-03, 10-14-03, and 10-27-03 Undergraduate Academic Affairs Council.
1. Art History was reduced to 36 credits and certified in compliance by the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Council (10-27-03).
2. Art Therapy (comprehensive) was reduced to 59 credits and certified in compliance by the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Council (10-27-03)
3. Biochemistry concentration course sequence was reduced to a footnote under the chemistry comprehensive major. "This selection of courses covers all topics recommended by American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. "
4. Motion (T. Cummings/G. Carlson) to approve the following Bachelor of Music Degree exceptions passed. The rationale is that they are required by NASM accreditation requirements.
  a. Choral--2 credit exemption.
  b. Instrumental--7 credit exemption.
  c. Performance--14-16 credit exemption.
  d. Music composition--17 credit exemption.
