| PRESENT: Hal Bertilson, David Carroll, Tim Cummings, Martha Einerson, Peter Nordgren, and Nick Sloboda. |
| CREDITS COMMITTEE DELIBERATIONS: The Executive Committee reviewed and made decisions on Credits Committee petitions. |
| CALENDAR: Motion (N. Sloboda/M. Einerson) to approve the 2004-2005 Faculty Senate Calendar passed. |
| INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS: The local search and screen for International Programs was discussed. |
| SENATOR AT LARGE: At the May 4 Faculty Senate reorganization meeting we were notified that Chris Kemnitz was elected to replace Randy Gabrys-Alexson as the Senator from Biology. The vacates the At-Large Senate position that Chris held with a term of May 2003 to May 2006. It was agreed that Hal Bertilson will submit a call for nominations on the first day of Welcome Week and David Carroll will announce the call when he makes his Welcome Week address. |
| PRELIMINARY COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS: The Executive Committee made the first iteration of committee assignment recommendations based upon committee prferences we had as of May 26. Senate Secretary Bertilson will add any preferences that arrive after this meeting to the committee assignments by faculty member spreadsheet.. The impact of these recommendations will be illustrated in a report (committee assignments per faculty member) for review during the second iteration at the June 15 Executive Committee meeting. |
| NEXT MEETINGS: June 15 and August 24 were chosen as two of the meeting dates for this summer. |
