Attending: D. Carroll, Martha Einerson, Cynthia Graham, Nick Sloboda, Gloria Toivola, Cecilia Schrenker, Terri Kronzer

Minutes from July 12, 2005, were unanimously approved.

I. Petitions Committee

II. PBRC replacement for Stewart Platner

PBRC asked that Mary Pulford replace Professor Platner for the remainder of his term. This meets with language of the ByLaws. Approved.

III. Committee Assignments

Do faculty on administrative assignment retain their faculty status? How does this play out for committee assignments, departmental votes, etc? What are the faculty rights/rules which apply to folks w/ Director positions/administrative in all possible percentage appointments, and who determines their rights and responsibilities? Charter review Committee will consider whether these folks serve on faculty committees, and Personnel Council will consider other rights and responsibilities and report back to Senate Executive Committee.

Committee assignments were completed. Dave & Martha will finalize list and send electronically to Committee members for final approval.

August 10, 2005, meeting cancelled. Next meeting is Friday, August 26^th, 1:00-2:30p, RSC 112.
