motion from Senate Executive Committee:
The Chemistry Department be put
into receivership and a department chair be appointed by the Provost. The department will engage in expanded
discussions with Faculty Senate Executive Committee members, the Provost, and
other faculty members, as appropriate.
The purpose of these discussions is to move toward a more permanent
departmental governance solution to be in place by January 1, 2008, if
possible.
