Final Exam
Psychology 358
Tuesday, December 20, 2005
10:30 - 12:30 PM
1. What are the nine common feminist themes in Chrisler? Name and describe each. Describe how each of the nine common themes have affected you personally or how the themes have affected someone (real or fictional) you know about through the media.
2. Describe four theories/concepts you have learned this semester that are important to you and will be personally useful for you in the future.
  a. Define each theory. Describe how the theory works. Describe its components. It may strengthen your case if you can say something about its implications and/or predictions.
  b. For each theory/concept tell Dr. B. what you believe the feminist position is on that issue, theory, or concept.
  c. Tell why each theory/concept will be personally useful for you in the future.
3. The exam is closed book. Write two pages per question.
4. Grading will be based upon how thorough and convincing you are. Elaboration of theories may count more than concepts because there is often more to understand and master. Concepts are acceptable, but often with concepts there is less you can say. Theories and concepts that have a broad sweep (broad application to many situations) will count more than more narrowly applicable theories and concepts.
