| 1. | Levels (xi) refers to scope of the analysis. Does the analysis investigate physiological, psychological, social psychological, institutional, or cultural variables? |
| 2. | Objectified (12). Using a social constructivist approach, feminist theorists argue that the feminine body is socially constructed. In this way of theorizing, it is understood that the feminine body is constructed to as an object to be looked at, an oject of the male gaze and male desire. Thus girls learn to view their own bodies as if they were outside observers. This experience of one's own body as an object to be viewed and evaluated is termed "objectified body consciousness" (Hyde, 2004). |
