Principles of classical conditioning (Pavlov) are learned and demonstrated through research on animals and humans. Terms: unconditioned stimuli, unconditioned response, conditioned stimuli, unconditioned response, extinction, and stimulus generalization. Even the immune system can be conditioned to not work. Instrumental conditioning (Thorndike) occurs via Learning = Behavior + Consequences. The first behavior therapy was developed by Mary Cover Jones from the behaviorism of John B. Watson.
